Concepts

The first concepts were based on very saturated, energetic motion and a sense of barely contained chaos. It was very heavily inspired by Korean Waterbomb festivals. I also created a launch board to treat speakers as singers and sessions as stages.

After the 1st review, the feedback was that the concepts were too modern. The client wanted it to be based more on the retro, nostalgic 2000s concert era. So, the 2nd concept was based on off tone muted colors, paper textures and grains.

Solution

The colors ended up being too similar to a previous campaign so we changed the colors. The speaker treatment felt a little boring so the idea to introduce lanyards was put forward.

We created a bunch of speaker posters, individual posters, emailers, a concert map and everybody attending the workshop would receive a certificate in the end. It ended up being a huge success as we gained 135 registrants with just one single marketing promo email!
